So, Here we are at the end! This 9 month journey has been such a crazy whirlwind, and the last month was no exception. I had no energy, and we were basically in survival mode and just ready for this baby to come. We had an unexpected move as well. When we returned from the beach, we found out that the horrible neighbors above us weren't being evicted as the manager had assured us. To make the long story short, after building a case against them for months, and after they were served their 3 day notice to vacate under eviction, something happened behind the scenes and we went from victims of harassment and horrible living conditions (ie- month old maggot trash dripping on our grill), to being forced to have a mediation (on our anniversary no less), and to deal with them or we would both be evicted, which isn't legal. So, in my hormonal state, we decided on a Monday that we were definitely leaving, found an apartment on Wednesday, and moved on Friday, all when I was 38 weeks pregnant. Oh, and that week we all got a massive stomach bug, talk about bad timing!
So, in true DeHart fashion, nothing can be a calm transition, it always has to be dramatic, we moved everything in 2.5 days as I pa and said good riddance to that place. But, by God's goodness and grace, we found a lovely single story apartment with a garage and wonderful neighbors, and are actually excited to bring our daughter home. We've had 2 weeks to settle into our new place, and are ready as we'll ever be. We are so so so excited to meet her!
