Happy Easter 2015!

Easter is one of my very favorite holidays. The whole foundation of our faith rests on Christ's death and resurrection. It fills me with so much joy to spend time focusing on his sacrifice and the events that led up to his death and joyful resurrection. Our church does a wonderful job celebrating Lent and Holy Week. During  the Lent season, our pastor took us through the Psalms of Ascent (Psalms 120-134). This year, we weren't able to make it to the Maundy Thursday or Good Friday services, but our Easter morning service was wonderful and such a joyous way to celebrate our risen Lord. After service they had an Easter egg hunt on the roof of the building. It was a lot of fun to watch all the kids run around. It was impossible not to get excited for next year, when our own little guy can hunt for eggs too! After church, we ate at our favorite Mexican restaurant and spent the rest of the day relaxing. It was a great Sunday, especially since it's Scott's last day off for the next 6 weeks. (yay exams!)

Our community group. Not sure how we would survive the city without them!
