We usually keep birthdays pretty low key around here. After work on Friday, we went out for a nice Italian dinner at Papardella, on the Upper West Side. After a wonderful meal, we took an evening stroll through Central Park. I have rarely been in the park after dark even though it is open until 1am. The paths are lit with these very Narnia-esque lamps that cast a romantic glow across the path. It was really magical and a perfect way to end a romantic dinner.
Saturday we ran at the track, lounged around and played Mario Bros, and ended the day at a big birthday bash. Our friend Tyler turned 29 just two days after Scott, so they had a bunch of friends over and tons of snacks and we spent the evening celebrating our birthday guys with good friends.

Looking out over the pond, you get that sense of Awe
that you are actually living in NYC and you get moments like this.
