Here's to starting Law School...AGAIN.

Well folks, our 9 month vacation has officially ended. Tonight marks the first day that Scott starts his last half of law school here in New York City. It took a lot to get him here, but God provided. The day we received his acceptance letter was quite a glorious one.

Although we moved to the city for Scott's job, we knew that Human Resources wasn't his 'end-all' dream and that finishing law school was top priority. We moved trusting that God would provide a school to accept him as a transfer student. There were only two viable options, so this made our move even more stressful. From the very beginning, we knew that there was a small possibility that Scott would not get accepted into either program. If this happened, our back up plan was to pack up in December 2014 and head back to Cincinnati. Honestly, there were times (especially during the endless winter) we hoped that was the case, we miss Ohio and we miss our suburban/country life. But, as life settled down and we grew deep bonds with our friends and church, there was a part of us that wanted to stay and knew it would be difficult if we had to rip up our new roots and move back. At the beginning of the summer, NYLS finally accepted his application and granted him a 50% scholarship for this upcoming year (and maybe the next). We were astonished. We had already planned to go deep in school debt for the last two years (having paid out of pocket for the last 3). So this was a complete surprise. This was more than we could have ever hoped for and something we didn't think was on the table. This seemed like another sign from God that this is exactly where he wants us.

As I sit here at home, Scott is commuting down to TriBeCa to go to his first class. Although we are physically apart, we are together, at the top of another giant cliff ready to take the plunge. I pray that he loves his classes and has the energy to plow through the next several semesters. God has brought us this far with so many blessings, I fully trust he knows what he's doing.

Please pray for us as we start down this path once again. I'm excited, but we are ready to finish this chapter and put it on our shelf of memories. I'm ready to be a lawyer's wife! :)

His school is so close to Freedom Tower.

The view from the outside study area. I love TriBeCa.

Thanks for your support and prayers, we will need it!
