We celebrated our 3rd Easter in NYC this year. Each year has been so different, and this one was the most fun, by far. We went to morning service at Apostles Upper East Side, and it was such a wonderful and moving service. Easter is my favorite Sunday out of the entire year. Although we celebrate our risen lord, daily, it's wonderful to gather together and set a special day aside to really thank him for coming to save us. It was also Levi's first time in the nursery, and it was glorious. I actually got to really pay attention to the music and the sermon. woohoo!
After church, they set up an Easter egg hunt on the roof of our building. It's always so fun to watch children run around finding eggs. We helped Levi find a couple of eggs too. He loved them and immediately started chowing down. After the egg hunt, we took a leisurely walk home back across Central Park, and made a delicious Easter dinner with glazed ham, sweet potato casserole, cheddar bay biscuits and cranberry salad.
