Independence Day has been such an up in the air holiday for us for years, every year we scratch our head and wonder what to do. 2 years, we spent it inside eating skillet burgers with our friends with a brand new baby, the year before that it was spent in an NYC apartment on a rainy day with people we didn't know. This year we split our festivities between Columbus and Chillicothe. We spent the 3rd at a local festival, eating delicious food and playing on the bounce house and dancing to some good music.
On the 4th, we headed down to Chillicothe and spent a very low key day hanging out on the farm with Mimi and Papa. We played with the animals, rode the the 4-wheeler, and played in the pool. Papa shot off a few fire works, but Levi was pretty concerned because they were "Hot" and decided to go inside, but we enjoyed them!
When you want a photo with your kid and he refuses and just wants to play with rocks.
