Bachelorettes and Birthdays

We are officially in crunch time for Lydia's wedding! eek!!! But, before the week was upon us, we decided to take a little step back from planning and prepping and have a little fun! It was honestly the perfect weekend (except for the weather). We celebrated Lydia's last week as a bachelorette on Saturday night and then on Sunday it was Liberty's 18th birthday!!! I'm honestly not sure how my parent's are handling all the change in their house. There is one less 'Detty' and no more children!

We met up with Lydia's friends, Lauren, Bri, Makiah, and Heather at Buca Di Beppo in Columbus. We shared in some great laughs, some fun photos and of course, good food!

We are ready to celebrate!

I'm glad we chose Buca. It's such a fun italian restaurant and since Lydia was forced to wear a sash and tiara, the waitress had no choice but to bring her candles to blow out and the entire room of guests joined in a rendition of their Buca 'Happy Birthday' song, but changed it to 'Celebrate'. This clearly embarrassed Lydia, Mission Accomplished.

After a satisfying meal we ended up at Easton Town Center. Of course, on a night that we were planning outdoor activities, it decides to downpour. But, no worries, we made the best of it. We still had gifts to open, so we decided to take them to the most awkward spot possible. A table, in the middle of the mall on a Saturday night. (If the gift comes in a Victorias Secret Bag, you will probably just want to pass the bag around and not bring the gift out. haha!)

After the most awkward gift time ever, we meandered over to the delectable 'Jeni's Ice creams'. AMAZING!

Once we called it a night with Lydia's friends, I took us over to the Hampton Inn for a sister's night. I figured a weekend like this, called for some serious sister time. When the clock struck midnight, Lydia and I jumped on Liberty and pretty much scared her to death! We had such plans for that night, but it really just resulted in falling asleep to Willy Wonka on the family channel. Plus, we needed our beauty sleep for our shopping day at Easton to celebrate Liberty's ascension into adulthood!

Shortly before we all fell asleep
Brunch at Panera!

When we got home, exhausted for a great day of shopping, mom and dad had a cake and ice cream waiting for us when we walked through the door!

Thanks girls for a wonderful and memory filled weekend!
love always,

Lauren Marie
