Graduation Festivities!

The night before graduation, NYLS hosted the grads and their families for a soiree. It was so nice to go back to the school one last time before graduation. Mom and dad came up for the graduation, so they accompanied us to the party. As they entertained Levi on the balcony, enjoying the perfect weather, Scott and I were able to mingle and meet a few of his classmates and professors. It was nice to put some faces to the names. After some good food and taking in the awesome view of TriBeCa, we left, and that was it. He was done. Scott stopped, and looked back on what once was his 3rd home. He spent SO MUCH TIME THERE. It was such a great and weird moment. As the sun set over New Jersey, we walked along the Hudson toward Freedom Tower, It was the perfect evening. Levi cried himself to sleep in the stroller just as we made it to the 9/11 Memorial. We took a minute to look over the glowing fountains, then walked back to the train. It was a perfect way to say goodbye to that part of the city. Once we were home, and Levi fast asleep, Scott tried on his robes to make sure everything was good to go for the next day. It was so exciting to see him all done up! He came into the living room, then reached up above our bedroom door, and tore the last paper ring down from the chain I made him months before. This was it! There were no more assignments, tests, or classes. The last ring was down, and tomorrow, he would graduate!

My lovely parents. It meant so much to have them there.

Words can't express how proud I am of this guy. He looked so sharp in his suit!
